Due to the ongoing and the challenging problems of controlling Pest activity in a Commercial environment, Success of a Commercial Pest Management Program can be measured by ongoing continuous improvement, identified in time frames and by applying the following KPIs:
- 1) A measureable reduction of Pest activity. "The means of measuring results are to be agreed by the Pest Manager and the Commercial Business".
- 2) Pest Management Company and Technicians are appropriately licenced and a copy of licences are available in records of service documents.
- 3) Service is completed in accordance with service frequency. Service Reports clearly indicating the target pest, site application, application method, products used and all recommendations are provided.
- 4) All products used have current MSDS. Available via electronic (on this Website) or hard copies as appropriate.
- 5) All products used are approved for purpose.
- 6) All physical equipment complies with requirements (e.g. Shatterproof UV light tubes, lockable bait stations).
- 7) Non-conformances by the Pest Management Company are addressed within a pre-determined time period.
- 8) Non-conformances by the Commercial Business are addressed within a pre-determined time period.
- 9) A detailed service report for each site visit or service is produced and a copy is available in record of service document (e.g. Service Register).
- 10) Pests covered on the Scope of Works are either inspected for, or treated and reported on, for each service in accordance with SOW
- 11) Scope of Works and service requirements are reviewed at least annually to ensure the program is meeting the pest management needs of the facility.
- 12) A valid contract exists between the pest management service provider and the Commercial Business outlining the Scope of Works, i.e. service frequency, reactive or emergency response times and any other relevant information.
The Aardvark Pest Control Pest Manager will conduct a thorough inspection each visit and look for conditions that are conducive to an infestation. All recommendations should be documented on a service report. Pesticides may not be used until other options have been tried. If Pesticides are to be used, only those on the approved list of the certifying organisation shall be used. Pesticides must not come in contact with food, packages, or food contact surfaces.
The Aardvark Pest Control Pest Manager will place and maintain interior traps as specified by the scope of work. All traps will be dated when checked. Conditions found in the traps at the time of service will be noted on log sheets. If rodent activity increases, then the number of stations may be increased to resolve the problem. Changes will be noted on a revised Location Map which must be dated. If the problem is brought under control and a decision is made to reduce the number of stations, a new Location Map should be created. An inspection should be completed to identify why the problem occurred and findings and recommendations documented in a report.
